Our goal is to support you in your journey and help you to make the changes of thought and action that increase your joy and help you reach your goals.

The Main Meal Weight Management Support system can help you gain, lose, or maintain your size and weight. While our culture tends to emphasize weight loss, people who are thin and can’t gain weight also experience the same self-image and body-image concerns. This is a journey of love and joy. Everyone is welcome!

PEACE AND JOY

The principles and practices of The Main Meal Weight Management Support system are designed to bring peace and joy to the process of change. Finding peace with your body image does not need to be all-consuming. The things that bring you joy (family, friends, hobbies, etc.) are your priority. Let us help you find peace in your journey!

The Main Meal WMS

Sometime in the mid-1990s, I had an idea for a book, titled “If You Think It’s About the Food, You Missed the Main Meal,” that would be about a different way to lose weight. Over the course of 20+ years I wrote parts of it.

In 2012 I decided it was time to tell my story and in 2016 I published under the title of “The Main Meal: The New Perspective on Weight Loss.”

In 2017 a doctor told me I could lose some weight or have back surgery every couple of years. That year I founded The Main Meal Weight Management Group.

In 2018 I designed and offered an 8 week book study that follows the chapters in my book and offers practical applications of the concepts and ideas in the book. In 2019 I expanded my practice to offer private coaching and workshops.

Betty Brink

Betty Brink is an expert on the mental and emotional aspects of dieting and body image. She is the author of "The Main Meal: The New Perspective on Weight Loss." In seminars, speeches, and consultations, she demonstrates practical methods to quiet the diet chatter, and to empower yourself to make conscious choices in diet, in life, and in relationships.

She is the founder of The Main Meal Weight Management weekly support group which is designed to facilitate and encourage people who want to change or maintain their body size. Refusing to conform to the norm of diet and exercise plans, these weekly meetings help create new dimensions in your attitude toward beauty, your own body, and your self-esteem. Betty blogs about the things that make up the “Main Meal” of her life: the things that bring her joy and inspire her to feel grateful.

Betty Brink has lived her life in many different stages, wearing many different hats. She attended 3 separate colleges, and was eventually awarded an MBA on her 40th birthday. She has lived in four different states and, in her own words, has "worked every job in the history of man, except the oldest profession." She loves reading, writing, making soap, making lotion, cooking, playing music and singing. Currently, she's living the dream, feasting on each and every 'now' moment in southern California.
